Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

Almost a week ago, I learned that I have 2 EXTRA bones (growth plates) in my feet. I am “extra”. The condition is called Accessory Navicular. And if you are wondering, yes, it DID take more than one try to get that spelled right. One of the growth plates got mad at me and became a bit inflamed and was painful to walk in. Now, I have to wear a boot for the next 3 weeks so that the bone gets unflamed, deflamed, I seriously don’t know. Yay, is what I would say if the boot wasn’t making me sweat more than a kid does when their parent says PLAYDATE in front of someone cool. This is the picture of the boot:

SO. MUCH. VELCRO.

Easter. (The MOST Original Title Ever!)

YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT THIS POST WILL BE ABOUT! Easter was super awesome. When I woke up, I played the Animal Crossing Event that was scheduled for April 4th. After about 30 minutes of that, I went upstairs to say Happy Easter to the rest of my family. I gave Hazel and Doc Easter baskets that I made for them and we all opened our baskets from my Dad’s sister, Auntie Julie.

I got a ton of awesome stuff (including candy). I got a Paint-Your-Own Hanging Planter, a rubber chicken (who doesn’t love those), a crystal growing kit, gummy candies, a hopping bunny, and (big surprise) more candy.

THEN, Mom gave us super awesome candy from a cute candy shop downtown. I got Cookies and Cream Chocolate Bark, Champagne Gummy Bears, Grapefruit Sour Balls, and Candy Pacifiers.

Just for your entertainment (and also for mine), I found some FABULOUS Easter memes. Enjoy!

After we opened our Easter baskets and ate the first 10 pounds of candy, we went downstairs and had a small egg hunt. Hazel and Doc had lots of fun finding the eggs!

Honestly, we spent the rest of the day like it was just another Sunday. We did have REALLY good steak for dinner, though.

I know it wasn’t THAT LONG of an Easter update, but that was pretty much all that happened (apart from the total of 1,000,000,000,000 lbs of sugar that we all consumed). And look on the bright side, we can get to actor of the week sooner!

Our Actor Of The Week is…

Elizabeth Banks!

Elizabeth Banks is SUPER FUNNY. She is a great actress has played fabulous and funny roles in Pitch Perfect 1 and 2, Modern Family, The Hunger Games, and more. You can check out the other stuff she has been in here.

Next on the blogging list:

SNL! I have a few things to show you. First off, one of my FAVORITE SNL Skits. Get ready…

By the way, probably should have mentioned this before you watched it, but if you aren’t a fan of fake blood, steer clear of this video.

I really enjoy Saturday Night Live skits. (You probably could tell, already.) When I was looking for a good skit to add to this post, I found some really interesting videos of how SNL skits are created. I hope you find them as interesting as I did!

Have a good Tuesday!

Happy Birthday, Little Blog!

Welcome to POST #42! OHMYGOSH!!! Did you know that I started my blog one year ago today? What does that mean? Good question. Other good questions include: Why is Doc so freakin’ adorable, is Grace slightly insane, and why do dinosaur chicken nuggets get soggy in the microwave. (Sorry, getting really off track.) Well, dear readers, that means that this is our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAHBLAHBLOG!

Throughout the year I have kind of been this:

And I have enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you to Doc and Millie for being interesting to blog about, thank you Nana, for editing my posts with me, thank you to Dad for making my blog an actual thing, and thank you to all of my readers. I love all of the comments and emails I get, telling me how much you enjoyed the latest post and thanks for listening to what I have to say. Happy Birthday, BlahBlahBlog!

Technically, I wrote the first draft of post #1 one year ago YESTERDAY, but I published it one year ago today.

(Doc is sleeping right now so I can’t get a video of him singing Happy Birthday, so go to a previous birthday post and replay that video, or just imagine him singing it.)

Have a VUNDABAR DAY (and don’t forget to pick up your goodie bag as you leave the party-post (just kidding)!

Mini Post: Vaccinations!

Guess what!?

I got my vaccination! Since I am officially a teenager, I got the covid vaccine!

Honestly, I feel a bit worn out and my arm is a bit sore. I ended up getting the Pfizer vaccine. There where a bunch of people in the line so it took FOREVER. I just stood there and stood there, and I swear, the line moved up a quarter inch every HALF HOUR!!! When I got to the administering station it took less than a second, and I was done! After that I went home and ate waffles. Everyone knows that life is so much better with waffles.

My arm is pretty sore right now so I am going to wrap up this super mini post, but to all of the people who have yet to get their vaccinations, don’t sweat it. The two day MAXIMUM of soreness that you MIGHT feel isn’t worth a bunch of stress. Just relax and eat waffles.

I am so glad that I got my vaccine. Not gonna lie, it was pretty stressful, but I’m still alive, aren’t I?

Wait, hold on. Just checking. Yep, I am still 100% completely alive! (Scratch that. Probably about 99% alive, currently.)

I have just one more thing to say before I end this post.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!😈😈😈😈😈😈😈

Happy Burfday To Me!

Four days ago, March 28th, was my birthday. I turned 13!

To celebrate, I went downstairs at 7:00 am and played video games until everyone else was awake. About 8:30 am. Animal Crossing New Horizons does mini birthday celebrations for you on your birthday. I played Animal Crossing for a bit and then went into my parent’s bedroom so that I could open a few gifts. Of course, Doc needed to help open my gifts because if he didn’t get to demolish the wrapping paper on at least one gift, he would unleash a scream that would break all of the glass of the houses on the entire block.

I got some pretty cool gifts! I got a Make Your Own Mochi Kit, Make Your Own Fortune Cookie Kit, Make Your Own Bubble Tea Kit, a framed butterfly, a framed bat, a lock picking set, a glass ziploc bag container, a movie and book check-off poster, and a special birthday hug from Doc. I also got some cool enamel pins!

After gifts, we enjoyed a really good brunch of bacon, eggs, and english muffins. While eating, we watched the Netflix movie, Yes Day. (Click on it for the trailer.)

Yes Day was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed watching it and would remind readers that it is a cheesy Netflix movie. Serious cheese factor. But it is still a fun movie to watch!

After the movie, I lazed around a bit while my mom ran errands. I straightened my hair and we hopped in the car to go to a restaurant for my SECOND time of the pandemic!

Just so you know, Doc feel asleep in the car and. It. Was. Adorable.

We ended up going to (it was a complete surprise for me) a REALLY GOOD italian restaurant called Montelupo. I got THE WORLD’S BEST pasta with Bolognese sauce. There was a server named Mike that Doc wanted to be friends with SO BAD. Every single time Mike came over Doc would say

Doc: Hey, uh. Wassyo name?

Mike: Mike.

Doc: Mike, will you please be my best friend?

Then, throughout the dinner, Doc would ask him questions like, what is your favorite animal, will you have a playdate with me, and do you like noodles. After dinner, Doc had a dance party. Right in the middle of the restaurant tent.

Finally, we went home so that I could make birthday milkshakes.

When we got home, my dad went out into the garage and I got out the blender. Haha. Little did I know…

My dad came in with a mint chip ice cream cake and a 1 and 3 candle perched on top. The small rectangle cake was covered in a light blue-green frosting and it had mini ice cream cones and ice cream on top!

It was SO good that I ate a MONSTER-SIZED slice. After the cake we watched a movie called The Professional, which was super cool. Natalie Portman was in it as an 11-year-old. It was so funny seeing her so young after watching movies with her as an adult.

To be honest, that’s pretty much it. After that I went to bed. Exciting, I know.

It is time… The moment you’ve all been waiting for… (or at least have been waiting for while this sentence continues to drone on and on and on and on and on and on and on and-sorry just having fun with you)!

Actor Of The Week!

Michael Pena!

He is SOOOOOOPER funny!

He has been in Ant-Man, Fantasy Land, Tom and Jerry, Dora and The Lost City of Gold, The Martian, and more. Check out what “more” is here.

Here is the trailer for Ant-Man, one of my FAVORITE Marvel movies!

Before I go, check out the wonderful SNL skit of the week. (This is starting to become a regular thing! Good ol’ SNL.)

Enjoy!
